Default Whats the best way to hook up a cd player?

In my 05 access cad without the jbl. Crutchfield says to take the speakers out and run new wires but there has to be an easier way. Can you unhook the harnesses at the factory amp and find which are the speaker wires and splice them there Then use the wires at the rear of the radio? Also will any double din fit?

It's funny you ask that question. I have the same truck as you and just installed my pioneer. You don't have to run 4 pair of wires to the speakers, but you do have to run them to the old amp location. The B+, ACC, Illum. and ground are all found at one of the radio harnesses. btw, The AC and DC are wired differently, they have different harnesses. All the speaker outputs are located at the 12 pin connector that hooks to the amp. When you remove the old radio, at larger 20 pin connector on the radio, pin 1 is the constant battery. The ACC is pin 11. (for some reason my acc would not work, i had to grab a switched from the thermostat controls) The illumination is pin 2. Ground is pin 20 or frame. Next run 4 pair of wires for each channel to the old amp location. (if you have tweeters in the door they are already wired in parallel with the door speakers.) Then splice the correct wires together. (RL+ is pin 2, RL- pin 7); (RR+ is pin 3, RR- is pin 8); (FL+ is pin 4, FL- is pin 11); (FR+ is pin 5, FR- is pin 12.) The harness have pin numbers on it.

On my truck pin 11 was in a different location then what the diagram said. Here are the color codes for the wires, it will make things MUCH easier. This is the pinout at the amp for the 12 pin connector for AC only.
