Default iPod and Factory Nav?

My father has an 05, double cab, 4x4 limited. spectra blue, painted bedcap, factory navigation.
For his birthday I've been looking to buy him (and install) an iPod adapter.
Since he has the dealer installed navigation package, I obviously want to hook into that through the back.

I've been searching, but I can't find any specific information regarding the Nav unit, and what the best method to wire in. I assume there is a set of RCA's or something similar I can use, but i want to be positive.

What's the most basic ipod adapter I can use. No need for $300 options or anything like that. Just need to start a play list and listen.

Default Re: iPod and Factory Nav?

Odds are there are not going to be any RCA outputs on the rear of a factory head unit.

Look into a unit like the USA SPEC. I have one in my wifes Acura with factory system and it works great. It allows you to control the iPod from the iPod or the radio, which ever you like best.

Dice Electronics also makes a similar device.... however, I tried that in her car first but could never get it to work. They gave me a refund and I went with the USA SPEC. It plugs directly into the back of the headunit using the empty cd changer port. Its been working flawlessly for about 2 years.

Hope that helps
