Default 1 sub to 2 channel amp without bridging

I have 1 sub right now rated 150 watts RMS at 4 ohms and the amp i'm looking to buy gives about 200 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms. (I plan on adding another sub later on)
Would I be able to hook up my 1 sub to only one of the channels (without bridging it) and just leave the other channel empty?

yes, you can connect only one channel, but why not just bridge the amp for the time being? It should be no more difficult wiring wise and will guarantee a good mono signal to the sub.

my 2 cents.

Bridge it for the time being, and just go easy on the volume control......
