Default 1st Gen custom door speakers?

Post up some pics of custom door speaker installations you have done. I'm going to be installing some Focal K2P components, and I think I'm going to have to get a little creative.

Just curious what other people have done!

Post up some pics of the doors! I'm thinking about doing some mdf inserts where the orig JBL speakers are, covered in tan leather... I dunno quite yet.

There's nothing to see as it's all inside the panels.

Here are my Morel tempo components in my homemade panels. They were too deep to fit in the stock location.

Very cool.. somewhat similar to what I have planned... maybe a little simpler on mine as I'm thinking of using the stock grill location, nothing larger. I bet those Morel's sound fantastic... what do you have for the rest of the system?

Also, I'm killing myself trying to decide what I want to do with a sub. I had a JL Stealthbox in my 02 AC and loved it. I just would like to be more creative this time.... Can't change any seating room or floor space.... I dunno what I'm gonna do.

Here's the rest of the system, hopefully it will give you some ideas.

JL 13tw5 slimline sub.

Audison LRX 5.1 5 channel amp.

Seat down. It's controlled by an actuator that is controlled by the dead unit.

Wow man, very nice setup. Nice selection of components too.. I bet that sounds fantastic.

I have a double cab, so the back seat presents a little more of an issue.. the way the seats fold up.

I've got the same problem. I have a Q-Logic enclosure with a pair of 8-inch Rockfords in the well beneath the rear passenger-side seat and they do an adequate job but I need something bigger.

There are some nice custom or trick setups out there for sure. Just a question of how much money or work you want to put into it. I wanted a stealth setup to keep everything behind closed doors *no pun* and keep the interior clean. Nothing over the top, but, I think it came together well. I did my system a couple of years ago.

JL XR650 CSi components in front/back doors
JL W3 8" subs in Qlogic under rear seat (passenger side)
Fosgate 1.0 Farad cap under rear seat (driver side)
Fosgate amps (2) behind rear seat (wall)
Fosgate Battery Terminals for wire hookups (cleaner setup I think)

There are some pics in my gallery of the setup.

I have Hybrid Audio L6’s in the factory midbass location. These are actually 7” speakers, so I had to have a custom mount made for them. The tweet is a Hybrid Audio L1 Pro. I tried these in several locations, including the sail panel, but they sounded best mounted down by the midbass, so I had a custom grill cover mounted to the door. The tweets are aimed up and back slightly towards the center to improve the imaging. I am running these speakers active and they sound excellent, and are very detailed.
