Seen a post on a forum about the kick panels for the Tundra that were supposed to be coming out..Well got an email yesterday saying they have been shipping to dealers the last couple of days. These will hold a 6.5" Components. You can get them preloaded with Fosgate speakers if you so choose..Mine are coming with no speakers.
Okay for anyone interested just call them up. Ordered mine today at a killer price since I was the first to bite, and will post a thread with pics once I receive them..Talked with Billy w/ Q-logic and he said these should basically just snap in, and then you put one screw back in to fasten them that came out where the other factory piece was.

Not mine, but ya get the idea. One side loaded with speakers, and the other side raw.

Awesome man good info here. Looking forward to seeing them installed. Will you be using these in conjuction with the door speakers?
Thanks! And yes these will be used in conjunction with the door speakers..I am already running one set of components, and will be running another in these.

Good Pic Marky - in the pic, it looks like the speaker is right under the e-brake - is that right or just an illusion? Also, would you say it's a 45 degree angle or less..... I'm thinking more of water dripping from boots getting onto the speaker.

A guy I know had some speakers in the kick. The soundstage was coming from below so he made up for it by buying and installing some Boston Acoustic NEO 5T ambient tweeters and placed them in the pillars (higher than the dash) to lift the soundstage up. I never got to hear them, but he swore by it.

Pretty cool.... I wish the color matched a bit better...
?? It matches the black very well. Not sure do you think they should be the carpet color?
Cool pics MM and as far as the poster saying soundstage being low with just these I would say yes but in conjuction with the door speakers and tweets in the sails I think it would just enhance the soundstage.

Yea the color is pretty much as close as you are gonna get for interior paint. Always good to have a contrast too.
They can be painted to color match the interior, if that is a concern for anyone. I do not have them, but, seen/heard them on a 1G setup, and it was nice. Just need to keep your feet under control and remember they are down below.

I'm talking about the door and kick panel... Not the carpet...
It's not bad, but I'm anal.... Not to mention that it's being blasted by a flash from the camera, so odds are that noone would even notice the color mis-match in such a ill lit area...
You could probably paint it, but I doubt it would last.... judging from my buddies' that have these in their trucks, they get beat up pretty good.... i.e. dented up and dirt filled grills...
I like them, and considering them... I have a Avic Z HU powering the stock JBL speakers by means of a PAC TATO, and I'm pretty content. Although there is a pretty notable dead spot in the mid range(have JL Stealthbox for sub).... These should help...but I may first try my idea of turning one of the 3 sunglass storage areas in my headliner(don't use), into a mid range/center/mono speaker... I'm just not sure what I'll do to tune that one speaker,...probably just use resistors... dunno...
Maybe use the JBL sub channel, not being used(replaced with JL sub) and run a bass blocker or something...blah...blah...I'm babbling...
