The antenna mount seems secure on my Tundra, but the antenna still shakes loose. At my last service, I asked the tech to use lock-tight or some other glue to keep the antenna from vibrating loose. So far, seems to have done the trick.

I didn't put my flag on my antenna but I'll join in the suit against the Al-Queda.

My antenna was just fine until the flapping American flag made it work loose at the base. I'm thinking class-action suit against the Al-Queda.

Your problem does NOT sound like a TSB related issue. The TSB is just for a LOOSE antenna MOUNT. Sounds like the dealer might need to look at your radio. Or if you know how check the connection where the antenna plugs into your radio, that just might be loose.

The TSB is from June of 2001 and refers to 00 and 01 Tundras. I'm ot sure if it carried into the 2002 model or not.

Chris,

Is it for 2000's or does it include 2001s and 2002s?

I realized I needed mine replaced when I herd it rattling around on the highway. Yes it does kinda loosen up from the fender. If you grab the base of the antenna and it moves around, you need it replaced

I also have one of the rear brake TSB if you want it. It didn't come out very well, but you can still see it.

Glenn,
The TSB is one that was put out by Toyota, not the NHSTA. The number is AU002-01. I have a JPG of the actual TSB. Send me an email and I will reply with the attachment, unless you know of another way I can show it to you.

Glenn,

Had the same problem with mine. The dealer just replaced it under warranty. I did change antennas afterwards to a shorter version that I got from Radio Shack. It is only about 18" long and the reception is decent. No more problems after that.
