Default Trying to hook up my 03 AC

Alright guys...i am terrible with electrical anything. That is why i have you guys. I am an audio noob and i know it. I'm looking to get better sound quality out of my truck before the holidays when i have a 2200 mile trip planned (thats one way).

Right now i have a pioneer Avic-310 head unit but i was looking at adding new door speakers and maybe an amp and woofer if its in the budget as well. I was going to stick with all pioneer because i wanted quality but i really dont know much about it so i'll let you experts chime in.

Heres what i was thinking for now.

    (4) TS-D1602R 6 1/2" speakers to replace all the door speakers front and rear (TS-D1602R - 6½" 2-Way Speaker with 260 Watts Max. Power | Pioneer Electronics USA)

    (1) GM-D7500M 800w digital amplifier (GM-D7500M - Class-D Mono Amplifier with 800 Watts Max. Power | Pioneer Electronics USA) or GM-5500T 820w amplifier (GM-5500T - 2-Channel Bridgeable Amplifier with 820 Watts Max. and Bass Boost Volume Control | Pioneer Electronics USA) (this is where my noobness strikes...i really have no idea what i need here...i'm shootin with a blindfold on this one)

    (1) TS-SW841D 8" shallow mount subwoofer... (TS-SW841D - 8" Shallow-Mount Subwoofer with 500 Watts Max. Power | Pioneer Electronics USA)

Seems like total system cost would work out to about 350 for just the speakers or about 750 for the sub as well...If the speakers alone will give me better sound quality and loudness than thats what i'm after. I rarely listen to rap and am not into that huge bass scene.

that would be a good little system, doesnt matter what speakers you put in, NOTHING will ever be able to replace a dedicated subwoofer.

all that stuff you picked would work very well together and sound pretty darn good, especially in the small @ss Access Cab.

    Not bad for a newb

now buy that junk and take pictures of it installed

you will be fine if you run the speakers off the head unit.

get the amp for the sub and call it good.

run 4 gauge power and ground so you can easily add an amp for the highs later on down the road if you want more control/power/sq.

And this should be fairly plug and play correct? they will fit in the door with minimal modifications correct?

I also found them for 80 dollars shipped on ebay new so it seems like a solid deal.

yea. your gonna need female connectors though to crimp on the stock speaker wires to connect to the male connectors on the new speakers

Alright pretty simple then...i'll update when i do this...probably next weekend...Are there any other places to look that might have a better deal than ebay?

Also it seems like from the reviews i've been looking at people are running an amplifier to start getting nearer to the speakers max wattage. Is there a decent inexpensive amp i can buy that will improve the quality of the sound as well as volume and not be too hard to get to work for a complete audio newb?

The two blue connectors are connected into the back of the radio, the big blue one is connected straight to the positive side of the battery (big ass fuse is out now so its not hot), the little blue one comes out of one of the ones with blue connectors, and the silver one is a ground. How difficult will it be to hook the amp up to that as well as those speakers?

first off, it doesnt really matter where your amps are located. as in your never...EVER gonna notice the milliwatt (if even that) power loss by running it a few feet farther, i promise you. whoever said that needs to be slapped.

and an amp is easy to hook up, power ground and remote turn on, then the signal line aka RCA's, but you gotta run speaker wire from the amp to the speaker or speakers, make sure that that signal line is on the front or rear outputs on the back of the deck if you wanna run your door speakers off it..

if the rcas are hooked up to the sub out then it will only work for a sub, so you will have to pull the deck and change it.
