Question Speedometer/Odometer Calibration?

I'm looking at my window sticker from my Tundra. Under standard equipment it states -P245/70R16 Radials. Under optional equipment it states -P265/70R16 Radials. (It is indeed equiped w/ 265's)

I am wondering if the speedometer and odometer is calibrated for the 245's. If that is the case are my readings off due to the larger optional tires?

Yes the truck is set at the factory to read speeds with the 245's since THOSE are the "base" model equiptment. There was a GOOD thread on this subject a few years ago.

Would someone PLEASE post the conversion tables again? Thanks.

I found this website one day for some reason, maybe it will help you: http://www.bncoffroad.com/ratio/ Given the size tires that it IS calibrated to and the ones that you have on there now it will tell you that though the speedo says 55 your really doing___mph. Good point Silversky

My '03 TRD came with 265/70/16 and the speedometer is dead-on with my GPS at 70mph.
