Question Please help me!!! Factory Restore Audio Prob!

I have an 02 Tundra, that came with the Factory CD/Cass. I had installed a year ago an Alpine HU w/ an amp, and some Infinity speakers. It looks as if in the next few days, I'm going to be selling the truck and taking back my audio products. I would normally just pull it all, but since it's going to a family member, they wanted me to put the factory radio back in it. Here's my problem I hope you can help with...

I have the factory amp attached to the radio, and only one plug. I could swear there are two that came from the bottom of the amp to all the speakers. I do not know where the plugs are, the harness I guess. So...I hoping you or someone may know where I can get the plugs or a harness or something to fill in those holes. I plan on routing new wires from all the speakers to the amp just because the factory wires are...grated cheese...by this point. If you had any way to get a diagram of the plugs, or a website I could order them from, it'd be great! Thanks for any info you can provide for me.

So what I really need/want is a way to plug the speakers back into the factory amp (the little rectangle one) w/ the factory plugs (for the amp) and my own wires which I'm running through the doors on Thursday.

Thanks again!!

If you used the Scosche TA02 connector (or another that allows you to plug directly into your factory wiring harness) to install your Alpine HU, it's very possible that your wiring harness, with its two connectors, remains intact. In that case, you simply need to unplug your Alpine HU, reinstall your factory HU and amp, and then plug the two connectors from the truck's wiring harness right back into the amp. Is that what you want to do?

I do have the plug that uses the factory wiring plug to adapt to the HU. However, I do absolutely remember the second plug being there, and now, it's not. But...not only do I need both plugs (I know for sure I have the factory larger one, not the smaller one though), and I also need a color code for which wires are which speakers. I have to re-wire it, so that I can run my new wires myself so as not to worry about finding shredded cheese of wires. So...is that TA02 anything special, or is that the name of the plug that I have already...

--Adam--

*EDIT* I think by the way, crutchfield can give me the color codes, but...I might need some extra help there.

Unfortunately that's my problem. By the time I could get all that info, and fix this, the truck would be gone and well on its way to a far away place. It will be getting transfered to the far state of Texas. Yipee, my cousin picked it up off me...anywho.

If you all could just tell me where I can find the factory plugs for the amp, that'd be fine, I'll work out the rest. I just don't know who would sell that. None of the local shops in my area can supply me those.

Your local dealership might be the best place to get information on the factory plug. I think Scosche has a "reverse plug" -- TA02R -- that might work. It might be compatible with the factory plugs.

Default Try Metra

Metra wires http://www.metraonline.com/locator.a...el=705&type=13 looks like the same plug deal as the scosche plugs. The "into OEM radio" 71-1761 has all the colors and locations marked and labeled on the wires and on the package (RF+, RF-, LF+, LF-, 12V etc.) I had Autozone order mine for me since they did not stock it. 2 days later they had it. Good luck. Otherwise you might get lucky at a local bone yard but would need the wiring schematics afterward.

AutoZone sounds like a good stop for me this late at night, go to the local 24hr and see what I can turn up. Anyway, I think I can only order those parts and hope that I can get them hooked up to factory for power/lights and my own wire for the audio signal out to all the speakers. Thanks a lot for the help guys. Think this'll do it for sure. Let's just hope I can do it by Thursday morning.
