Scion 6 disc changer in 2004 sequoia (help)

I am trying to replace my standard SR5 cd player (non JBL) in my 2004 sequoia with the scion 6 cd changer. The changer will fit into the dash without any problems, but the harness is where I have some questions. On the sequoia cd player there are 3 connections out of 4 occupied when I pulled the radio out. The Scion player has the same connections on the back of the radio, but the scion harness only had two connections. I will paste some pics to this message to make it easier to see what I am talking about. What do I need to change from the 3 connections in my sequoia to make it work on the scion cd changer. If I connect it with my sequoia harness without making any changes I can run the radio just fine, but the cd player doesn't work. Any suggestions or any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think I am trying to do a similar mode only with a 2004 Tundra AC SR5 (non JBL) single CD system. What I have is to plugs that go into the back of my radio (existing) and I have the sambe Scion back that you have. I think I need to bypass the Amp installed in back of the Air and Heat Controls.

Ex:

Current: Radio -> Amp -> Harness
Scion : Radio -> Harness

The plugs on the ouput side of the AMP look like they fit into the back of the Scion. Someone on another thread they got it to work this way...


My Scion radio has and in-dash 6 CD player with MP3. That would be a cool mod if I could do it.... If not, I will sell it on ebay (where I bought it)...

did you get this figured out? all you have to do is figure out which wires go to what outputs or inputs on the scion. Then go buy the scion wiring harnesses from your dealer...

Cut the sequoia harness of, then just connect up the respective wires on the sequioa wires to the scion harness.

i am planning on doing this with my 2000 tacoma, i like the dual din, 6disc changer and mp3 features on the scion head unit. i was going to get any of the stock 6disc changers from the tunrda/4runners but they come with casette tapes and i dont really rock those anymore.

let me know how your install wired up...
