Default Sequoia: Entertainment System?

Greetings. Anybody installed a custom video entertainment system in a Sequoia? Any information would be appreciated.

I'm working on mine, but it's a Tundra. Take a look at what I've done so far. The link is part of my sig.

Cool Re: Entertainment System?

I wouldn't really say that mine is custom but, I have the Kenwood KVT-910DVD installed in my 2001 Sequoia SR5 to replace the stock deck and I love it. It's a CD/DVD/TV/Video unit with a 6.5" 16:9 TFT LCD screen all it one package and it only takes up 1 DIN. Here's a link to the specs. http://www.kenwoodusa.com/product/pr...productId=2344

I haven't changed any stock speakers because they sound pretty decent. I did however add a JL 10" subwoofer in a bandpass box and it's perfect for my application. I placed my MTX 2400 AMP in the storage area and added banana jack for easy removal of the box. I'm still planning on installing a screen for the back passengers. Possibly a 10" or 13". If you really want the latest stuff check out Clarions new VRX925VD @ http://www.clarionmultimedia.com

Good luck! I hope to have pictures uploaded soon...

Jeff,
I don't have my pix up yet, but you could go to my yahoo photos page (webpage button above) to see my system. also, my system is primarily Clarion which i am really happy with. btw, i'm going to be redoing some of my set-up soon to include an indash LCD, sub in rear storage compartment and moving my DVD player out to the center dash console. hopefully i'll have my pix up tonight. good luck on your system.
Chris

thanks all for the compliments! it's not the best system, but it is a really good system for a little over 2 Gs. it'll be a lot better once i add the indash. if you all are thinking about hooking up a vid set-up in your ride i would recommend Clarion because they've got the best bang for your buck components. well, whatever you get, it's well worth the money, especially if you've got kids and you travel a lot. the only bad thing is that no one will want to ride up front w/ you anymore!

Bad_Knees...you know your set-up is gonna be hella better than mine!

Cool Re: Entertainment System?

I had the folks at the local Cartoys install an Alpine monitor on mine. I've got a mobile DVD attached to it but will have it replaced. I had them place the monitor on the biggest sunglass case on my overhead console and with a little creativity they did it. It is totally stock looking except for the wireless headset receiver near the back part of the console. I'll take a picture of it and post. I'm saving up for a Kenwood in-dash monitor/receiver/dvd player as well.

Good luck !!!

Hi guys, you have a really great forum here! I have been visiting here for the last few mos, and have gotten a lot of great ideas for my Sequioa. Simias, you have a wonderful system, and i am currently finishing up my system and will be picking it up tomorrow. Basically, consists of Pioneer AVX-P7300dvd,with the DVD Nav system, with 6.5" monitors on the headrests, AVM-P9000R controller,Sony VHS player SVX-800,game panel for the kids, Pioneer CD_VS33 video switcher, and get this, a center center speaker custom mounted, and for power, a Planet Audio 600.5 amp. They are currently testing out the system in the vehicle at this time, and it is awesome! As soon as i get the Sequoia back, and have some time with it, will give a more detailed rundown.

Wilson
