This weekend I'm adding the QLogic sub with 2-8s and an amp to my stock radio and just wanted some advice. I leased my truck and really don't want to change the factory radio and want to keep it looking factory new. Does the factory radio have RCA outs? I found an adapter to ad the RCAs from the amp using the speaker wire, what's everyone's input? Also, I'm planning on adding Dynomat to the rear. Where is the most effective place to ad it?
you realize that when you put in the q logic box, you cut up the carpet. If you ever want to take out the box and put in the original metal piece, you'll have some funky looking carpet.

I have added the Q and the Stealthbox to my tundra with an amp using the factory head unit. There are no RCA's, I had to tap into a speaker input and use a line converter for the amp. Now my amp runs the stealthbox and the other channel on the amp runs the Q.
You may want to check to see if your amp has a crossover and speaker level inputs, both features most modern amps have. You can then just tap the OEM speaker wires, feed the signal to the amp, crossover the amp for low pass, and power the subs.
As Triggs75 indicates, the Q-logic sub box generally requires you to cut the carpet to install it. However, if you carefully cut and fold the excess under the edge, leaving as much as you can intact, you can use carpet tape to stick it back together later on when you turn the truck back in and the repair will be hard to spot.
The "Dynamat" thing is most effective all over the interior of the truck. Seriously, if you are going to do it the best thing to do is do the whole truck. If you must choose somewhere to put a limited amount of Dynamat I would opt for the rear wall, where there is a large amount of transmitted noise. Not recommended, however.

You can easily use more than 100 sq.ft. inside the cab. Doing your doors should be a top priority as well, followed by the floor.
I would also like to point you toward other sound deadening options like Peel and Seal **LINKY**

totally not true...I have the q-logic sub box installed...you make 2 slits in the carpet and tuck it infront of the sub box....when you pull the box you throw a couple slices of carpet tape behind it and you will NEVER know it was cut.
need exactly what to do to install amp and subs to factory radio. please help
there is no EXACT method...everyone has diffent ideas...what is your level of car audio expertise? You will need a Line out converter to feed the amp.You will need an amp install wiring kit including a fuse in order to pull power from your battery. You will need to find the remote lead from behind your Head Unit.
I'm looking at insatlling a q-logic box. But since I have a 6 disk changer from the factory I'm looking to leave it that way. what wires do I come off of to run to the RCA jacks on the amp?? Do I cut in to wires from the head unit or the amp under the seat?? And which wires do I cut into??
The Qlogic comes with some excellent directions to install their box. As far as wiring up everything else, there is an excellent write-up in the HOW-TO section on how to keep the stock HU and wire up an amp and subs. You have to be a TS subscriber for access though. Help support the cause.

You should just be able to pull speaker wires from the front right pax door boot to connect a line level converter shouldnt you? keep you from having to even mess with the deck, after that any remote turn on wire will work, easiest and best probably being at the ignition harness,
does anyone know the colors for the right front speaker? im lazy and dont want to remove the door again thanks
