Question Comments on Kenwood Excelon speakers as replacements?

I am considering replacing the stock speakers in my '05 sequioa and am looking for a .good quality/price replacement. For now, I will stay with the stock JBL 6 disc HU and factory amp. The next upgrade may be a 4 channel amp.

It's been a while since I have been on the car audio scene. I have done some research and it seems like the Kenwood Excelon components would be a good replacement.

Anyone installed the KFC-XR61p or the XR71p in their Sequoia or Tundra? I'm pretty sure the XR61p will fit with little or no mods, but not sure about the XR71p. I would prefer the latter, but not if the factory housing can't be modified to fit. I can get either one for about $140 new.

I haven't had the rear door skins off, but I believe the they contain 6.5 inch coaxials. Can anyone confirm this? The KFC-XR601 or XR701 seem to be a good fit.
