Question dual 10" isobaric "planar loading" design

I have the BP02 but looking to take it the next step further because I ended up deforming the surround on the long-throw woofer I had under the rear seat. Just a few throws with someone sitting on the rear seat would cause the woofer's throw to be restricted which sketches me out a bit... hence my desire to change the rear enclosure.

I came up with the idea to utilize a planar isobaric idea because I can still fit two 10" woofers firing up towards the seat. With this design there will be a sealed enclosure actually on the top of both woofers creating almost a ported enclosure.
Here's a picture of the simple design:

With the current enclosure I built with the BP02 woofer I know I'm working with ~1cuft. The woofers I have operate nominally with 1cuft and in the installation manual they display an awesome response with 0.5cuft. I have plenty of wattage to handle a 0.5cuft box for each, but I think I'll kill three birds with one stone building the planar loading isobaric. If I build a 0.5cuft enclosure for one 10" single voice coil 6ohm speaker. I build a sealed cover to link the sealed 10 to the open 10 adjacent to it with minimal volume and enough veritcal distance to allow for full throw and prevent the bottom of the seat at ALL touching the cone/surround. Then wire both subs to reverse polarity in series to create the isobaric aspect. I think I could take advantage of the fact that I want to use 0.5cuft. and that I want to prevent the cones of either subwoofer to even come close to touching the bottom of the seat with this enclosure design.

it's either a crazy tight isobaric planar loader design with crazy fiberglass and plexiglass top or a single 1cuft with two 10s in series that really should be in on a box double that volume.

My real question is if it's possible to get better performance out of two 10s in a small-volume shared enclosure or go isobaric. As I said this would be a bit of an experiment on my part if I do decide to go with the isobaric.

Another quick note is that I could get really awesome bass reflection off the floorboard with the non-sealed woofer if going with the isobaric design.

possible? sure it is...this is exactly what Bag End did in the early 90's with their sub system...long throw woofers in high Q boxes(undersized enclosures like what your doing) and an equalizer module which was installed inline between the headunit and the amp....u can just install an equalizer and tune it for flat response and be sure u have gobs of amplifier power and long throw woofers that can handle the power being fed to them.....

compared to using ONE sub in the correct sized enclosure, the isobaric system will give u 3dB(its after 5am and i am still up so right now this sounds right and i can't bother to give it more thought) less output than a single woofer but in a box half the size...u also get comparable low end response to the single woofer system for your trouble.....

u can trade off enclosure size for eq + amp power assuming linear woofer operation and not be any worse for wear as long as your charging system is up to the task, so there u have it basically....
