I want to build a show system and was wondering if dynamat extreming the whole truck twice through and then using the spary on formula for everything that i could see the smallest amount of paint would be going overboard? I want to to be as quiet as it possibly can. Let me know how this would work as i think it will cost about 500, but should be worth the sound clarity.
I think that Brown Bread is supposed to be equal (or better) than Dynamat Extreme. It is a lot cheaper too. www.b-quiet.com They do a comparasion to Dynamat on there too.
I used McMaster Carr mastic and it works well. It was not too much money either. I imagine there is better stuff out there, I'm not sure how much better it would be and if it would be worth the extra cost. Try www.carsound.com Somebody there will give you their opinion for sure.
I'm not sure if you even really need the spray stuff. I was able to cover just about every where with the sheet stuff.

hey, just wondering, is there a group buy for dynamat?
Maybe we should start one. I'm going to start on my sound system soon and definitely need some help

I'd be much more interested in a group buy for Brown Bread myself...

I just did a double layer of sound deadner on my rear wall, and a double layer on all the doors, the inner and outer skin of it with some edead V.2 and I still have some left over. I bought the 70ft roll and now I am wondering what to do with what I have left over.....maybe a little bit of the floor?

That will help a LOT. Doing my floor made a huge difference. You can check out my pics to see what I did.

When you strip the interior you can certainly cover nearly everything with Dynamat. It takes a little time and a fair amount of work, but the end result really makes it worth it. Keep in mind the mat will never come off, so when you sell your truck it's going with it. Also, it will add some weight to your truck as do most sound deadening materials. I have several packs of extreme ($20) available if you're interested. You should also order either dynaliner for the floor ($49) or two extreme floor-liners ($89ea).
