Smile 2005 Tacoma Stereo Dash Kit Update!

Here's an email I received this evening concerning the double din stereo kit question I sent to Scoshe Industries. This was direct response from their marketing department staff.

    Read below:

We will build a double din kit. Stay tuned.

And I have a solution for the black plastic.

I spoke with Jason at Burtman Industries yesterday regarding a 2005 Tacoma carbon Fiber dash kit. The price would be $340. He said for an extra fee (not sure how much), he can custom cut the radio piece, so to cover allt he black plastic with Carbon Fiber. Perfect match for the carbon fiber dash kit..

Smile Single and Double DIN Versions in the Works!!

Here'a another email I received today:

    Quote:

Thank you for your interest in Scosche kits. I completely understand your need for a double din kit and we wouldn't neglect that need.

When the kit is released there will be two versions; A single din version and a double din version.

Like all Scosche kits, these will be contoured and textured to match the dash offering the best OEM style fit and finish available.

Please spread the word on your forum. It's demand from guys like you that enable us to build the kits you request. Thank you.

If that's not BS, then it's the best news yet that I've heard about the dash kits.

At this time we do not have a dash kit out yet. We are currently working on one in both single and double din style. If you like give me a call in 3-5 weeks and I should have more information for you.

    Thanks

Check out the Xenarc 10.4" it should fit almost perfectly in the opening of the CD player. I've already got an extra trim peice to mount it in.
