Default Looking for Proven Q-Logic Sub Combo

For Now I just want to add a subwoofer setup to my '05 AC. Can someone list their proven combinations of 8" subs and the Q-logic Box and amp. I like thundering bass and almost exclusively listen to hard rock and metal, 70's Zeppelin to ACDC to Rush and Metallica.

Preferably Twin 8" 4 ohm woofers with a 2 ohm load amp and a High quality speaker level to line level converter to tap into my rear speakers. The more powerful the better.

    Thanks in Advance.

    I emailed Q-Logic....

They recommended for me a pair of the Rockford Fosgate Stage 2 series 8" woofers (P28S4) wired in parallel for a 2 ohm load with a RF P3001 or P6001BD amp.

FYI...Q-Logic and RF have the same parent company.

I can't believe no one has responded, doesn't anyone have any of this installed that they do or do not like ???

I know plenty of people runnnig a pair of JL 8w3v2 subs with a JL 250/1 amp. That's what I'm doing as soon as my Q-Logic gets in.

EDIT: Didn't read your original post thru. I'm not sure this will give you a "thundering bass" sound, probably more like tight bass. It might be hard to get a loud "boom" from a sealed enclosure w/ such little space.

No problem. I just ordered some 9kv.2s from Elemental Designs. They are due in tomorrow, which means they'll be installed this weekend. I'll be sure to let you know how they turn out.

ALL MOTA was correct with the 8w3v2s....I thought about going that route but didn't want to invest $350 in my subs alone. I paid $150 shipped for both of my Ed subs.

I was very impressed with the Boston Pro 8" subs my brother had in his truck. He had a 1200 watt amp which was waaay too much power. They didn't pack enough punch for my brother so he switched to a Adire Audio Brahma 10", now he is getting a Brahma 12".

The subs are now in my friends 350Z being powered by a 600 watt JBL amp. That is a great amount of power for those speakers. They sound great and pack a nice punch. They are a pretty tight, fast, and accurate speaker.
