Hey all,

I’m posting this question in both the Sequoia forum and the Audio, Electrical & Wiring forum. I have a ’05 Sequoia Limited w/ factory NAV and RSE. After scouring these forums I have decided to install the Solara XM kit as well as the Eclipse BEC104 backup camera.

I’m still debating whether or not to install these myself or have a pro do it. I think I could do it myself, especially after reading all the posts from Steve97TT, ANYTIME, czechm8, and many others. However, I have a sinking feeling I know just enough to get myself into trouble. Not that this has ever stopped me before, but I digress.

My question is regarding the Y adapter that needs to be made for the RSE to work independently of other audio sources playing over the speakers. Would it make sense to use three wiring harnesses so you have three female connecters? Creating and auxiliary port of sorts, thereby allowing a future input such as iPod2Car or the Coastal Tech iPod interface (if it ever comes out).

Thanks in advance,

Chris
