Default Changing JBL Speakers

Has anybody with the JBL stereo system changed their speakers? I am thinking about replacing the stock speakers with some Kicker component speakers that I have. Are the connectors the same on the JBL speakers as the standard speakers?

If I decide to make the change, I plan to purchase the adapter plates and harness adapters from Taco Tunes.
