Default '05 factory head unit XM ready??

Are the '05 head units satelite ready? I mean can I use it to tune SAT stations instead of installing a seperate XM or Sirrius receiver?? It has the TEXT and RDS buttons.

Nope! Not XM or Sirius ready. For now, only aftermarket headunits.

agreed, not available. If you have the JBL system, it becomes a pain to install an aftermarket headunit -- besides which is *looks* aftermarket.

I bought an XM Roady2 unit for $49 at Circuit City. It fits perfectly with the included mount in the center console "divit" that seems to have no useful purpose, otherwise. I use a USASpec 2-input AUX adapter to give me 2 RCA inputs with the stock head unit. Overall, it's worked well for me.
