Default Tundra DC - go with 6 1/2 comps or Q-logic kick pod with 5 1/4

I am going to purchase some Alpine Type X components and I am trying to decide whether I
a) use the factory space and go with 6 1/2" speakers or
b) use 5 1/4" speakers and the Q-logic kick pods

From what I can tell, the kick pod won't accomodate the 6 1/2"
I will be adding a sub and new head unit and will run my components and sub off an amp.

Is the improved imaging from the kick pods worth the lower power 5 1/4" speakers. I can't imagine that size makes that much of a difference, but I am a bit of a newbie to this stuff.

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Thanks

most of the imaging comes fro mthe tweter placement. I am going to put a 6 1/2" woofer in the stock location and mount the tweeter down low in the factory kick panel. If you haven't decided 100% on the alpine X...take a look at this website...you might like the edi6500's...and you might find an amp like the Nine.4 would work for you....( no afiliation with the company...just impressed by the whole web/ecommerce thing they have going.)
