I don't think the sienna aux fits the Tundra, the Tundra does not have the same dash knockouts.
You're probably right, and it doesn't matter, as I just checked and I don't have any empty knockouts anyhow! I thought I had one available.
I guess I could run the aux port to another available space, like the seat heater switch location. Has someone installed this aux port? What kind of wiring do I need to run to the nav unit?
Well I won an auction on ebay for the e7009 unit WITH steering wheel controls that are a close match to my taupe interior. I got everything (nav/dvd/wheel controls/mic for UNDER $1800 I'm happy, can't wait till it gets here Ordering camera tonight also
Everything's ordered, hope they come at around the same time I won't install it till I have everything (don't want rattles from taking the dash apart too much)
Also found this, anyone know if it would work with our navigation head-units, it is made by fugitsu ten (sp?) so it might be compatible with our OEM units
Does anyone know how the bluetooth is supposed to work? If I am listening to the radio and a call comes in and I pick up. When the call is over, the headunit switches to map view instead of the audio screen I was at before. Is this normal? It sure is annoying, lol

Thats what mine does. I suspect the programming is to return to the default screen (Map) rather than the more complicated, "return to the previous".
Sorry, but I don't think it will work, the Sienna has different wiring than the Tundra. I suggest buying a navigational touch-screen, voice-activated system stereo ,ade specifically for the Tundra.
Anyways, you know the picture I posted earlier of the NAV in a tundra, and you can see that annoying gap between the unit and the center console "faceplate" when you load the disk? I fixed it
Went to home depot and picked up some 3/8" long spacers with 1/4" ID and 5/8" OD made out of nylon. Then went to a local hardware store and got M6 1.0 bolts because HD didn't have them. I glued the spacers to the back of the mounting plates with epoxy, installed in the tundra, let the pics explain the rest
This is what it looked like (not my pic, but it was the same on my truck)
Yet another post by me lol, Come on, someone else can post in this thread too, I feel like I'm hoggin all the fun
Installed the steering wheel controls today, They look great! Of course I would have preferred the exact color matched ones (if I found them, I would replace these). Anyways, the controls pretty much match the door panels, so it keeps along the color shades of the truck. I was kinda nervous about the airbag, but as you can see so far everything is ok. Make sure you disconnect the battery 90 seconds before you work on the wheel!! I waited 5 minutes. Heres the pics I can always take more if needed. My truck is the taupe color. I will edit this post with the part number (it ended in B0) First picture is just testing if I really liked the color or not.
My E7006 Nav head unit recognizes the Mic Kit, however the software doesn't recognize the right "voice command" when spoken. Is there a set-up process to have the Nav unit "learn" each user's version of the standard "voice commands"? For instance, when I say "Home" it shows "Gas Stations" and when I say "Gas Stations" it shows "Golf Courses". Is the pin-outs or impedance for the Mic different between Nav Units?
User: Ltjg MLD did a great job mounting the mic the aft of the rear view mirror. Any pictures showing how the wires were routed? Any have directions for taking apart A-Pillars with side curtain air bags? Any one have an idea what the 1" by 0.5" plastic rectangle is above the drivers left ear just above the door frame? Anyone mount the mic there yet?
The E7009 has a NEW 24 pin connector on it, but the other 6 connectors are the same as the older (E7001,E7003, E7005 and E7006).
R12 CN2851 20pin
part# 90980-12038
R11 CN2901 12pin
part# 90980-12183
R10 CN7001 20pin
part# 90980-12259
R9 CN1701 5pin
part# 90980-11909
R7 CN1706 6pin
part# 90980-12209
The square grey connector (next to the blue connector) is the same on all the models, it is the GPS antenna connector. That connector will come with the GPS antenna of your NAV unit.
The new 24pin connector on the E7009 seems to be a combination of the old R8 CN1705 10pin video/communications connector (90980-11909) along with the old 4pin Reverse Camera connector and the old 8pin Voice Command Mic connector. (The Camera and Mic connectors would each have come already attached to both the mic and the camera).
The pins to insert into each of those connectors could be scavanged from the 'Y Harness' that Toyota and others sell, or from an actual car RADIO HARNESS, or from the CD Audio cables like THIS, or you could search for the individual wire crimps like THESE and crimp them yourself.
As for identifying the correct wires, it shouldn't be too hard to get a member of the forum to take a digital photo of their harness so you can see the wire colors.
On that note you should DEFINITELY check this PAGE out. He has pictures of the individual connectors, many of which clearly show the wires. You can also take a look at the E7006's SERVICE MANUAL.
Yes, great info!!! Ordered the pins and the pin extraction tool, hopefully I am set for when the dealer gets the connector in.

for those of you with the mic mounted on the steering column or on the top of the combination meter, how is the reception for cell phone conversations? Can the other person hear you ok? I am going out to my truck now to install an automatic lock module, and I will try to install the mic at the same time, just want to see how the reception is before I start drilling, lol
