Default Re: E7007/8 Sienna NAV into 2006 Tundra

I am really confused, I have an E7007 Denso nav unit, and I bought a 86750-44020 mic kit from Carson Toyota. BUT my dealer tells me I need a wiring harness to go between the unit. I have a genuine Toyota backup camera and Toyota genuine XM radio units.

The mic kit from Carson Toyota has a black mic and black activation button. What I would really like is the OEM switches on the steering wheel. I have the part numbers for the steering wheel unit but is there a wiring harness to hook from the steering wheel to the back of the nav unit.

If anyone can enlighten me... I need help...

Which vehicle is this for? Your profile indicates a Lexus?!

The vehicle is a 2007 LTD Sienna, from Canada. In Canada nav systems are dealer installed, but Toyota Canada does not have a bluetooth kit available at this time. I have tried collecting info from all sources but it looks like this site has the most info.

Again I bought the mic kit from Carson Toyota, but when the dealership tried to install, a additional wiring harness is needed.

The Japanese mic kit includes mic and the push button but there must be a "Y" harness kit to install both pieces.

If anyone has gone through this problem, please let me know your solution. Again I have the geniune Toyota XM kit and backup camera.. Thanks , I need help or clarification.

This is a lot of knowledgeable members here but for your situation, I would suggest you go to SiennaClub.org Forums (Powered by Invision Power Board) for help. A lot of us gained a lot info from there and would be a great source for info in reference to your Sienna. Good luck!

Nope, the kit you have only works of E7006. To attach it to an E7007, you have to cut away the swith and part of the harness and attach it to a different connector in the back (I forget which one, but it is the same connector as the back up camera)

7: R10 Connector: Used for connecting microphone and backup camera.
Part Number: 90980-12404
I need your help. I am having problem with the pin out please see the picture below.

-R10 is the connector (plug) that you bought (I am ordering this connector now).
-N8 is the connector (receptacle) in the back of the E7009 Solara Navigation Unit.

I took these pictures below from SiennaClub in one of the thread; I think pin 9 and 10 of the R10 connector are going to pin 1 and 24 of the N8. I don't see how pin R10-9 go to N8-9 and R10-10 to N8-10.

I'm not sure what you mean, does the r10 plug into n8? You should be able to just follow the pinouts posted. I tried making up the hybrid disk but could not get it to work. I just use the latest version and got over the fact that I could not enter the service menu and allow dest. input while driving

I think the R10 plug in to N8.

Do you think the cables plug in to the R10 bottom most is corrected (assume wires are with corrected signals)?

Depends whether you are looking into the front or the back of the plug, so it is a bit confusing. The picture is correct (look where the top block of 4 holes is located)

I have a 06 Tundra Limited with Nav and the rear seat DVD. It came with the E7006, but I'm thinking about switching it with a E7007 so I can get the Sat, MP3, and Bluetooth funtions. Will switching them out be an easy plug and play, or will it take more work? And will the rear seat DVD still work?

Thanks

The RSE will NOT work (no one has figured out how..)

MP3 and bluetooth are internal. The satellite requires a short cable modified (basically you take two cables and turn them into one "Y" cable). How to do it, is documented in various places.
