Question Stereo Wiring Difference (Sequoia vs. Tundra)

Have an '02 Sequoia and recently aquired an '02 Tundra 6cd stereo head unit to replace the basic 3 in 1 single stereo unit.

Found that the plugs didnt match as I figured they would. Anyone come across this that can suggest a simple alternative...or is there a harness adapter to be had?

What didn't match the connector coming from the amp to the HU, or the 2 connectors that plug into the amp?

I did this in my Tundra. Plugs don't match? Are you trying to install the JBL amp or are you using your existing amplifier? On the standard Tundra amplifier, the cable that you need to use the JBL amplifier is terminated inside, i.e., no plug. The simple solution is to use the exisiting or standard amplifier with the 6 CD changer. Hope this helps.

The wiring plugs from the amp to HU dont match.

I am using the original amp and wiring to the new HU... This makes sense now, I'll need to change the amp too I suppose. I just assumed the the wiring would all be the same.

Thanks guys.

Who do the connections look like on the Tundra radio (# of connectors & number of pins for each) and on the Sequoia radio (# of connectors & number of pins for each)?

What year Sequoia is it out of?

(I can tell you the Tundras in the Morning, have to remove it.)

Sequoia Model # is 86120-0c121
Tundra Model # is (in the morning)
The Sequoia radio needs an external amp. Your Tundra maybe the type with a built-in amp. The Tundra radio with an internal amp will have a 6, 10 & 12 pin connectors. A Tundra radio with an external amp will be like the Sequoia with a 20, 12 & 20 pin connectors.
