Need clarification about JBL system & USA Spec iPod
I purchased a USA-Spec PA11-TOY iPod adapter from Crutchfield after the salesman said it would work with my JBL 6 Disc Changer. I received the adaptor today and right on the back of the box it says, "Not applicable to 06 Toyota radios with 6 disc in-dash changers."
I've read on different post that people are using this device. Can someone shed some light on this?

This is from an email from USASPEC.com "Our current version does not work with in dash 6 disc radios for 2006 model year, we have a new version coming in about 8 weeks that wwill
The new model is PA11TOYX
Bob"
I recieved this a month ago, may be you should email the company and ask them. Hope that this will help you.

I decided to go ahead and try it and see if it works, and it does. I have 6 cd's in the changer and they all work. All I have to do is press CD button again and it goes to the iPod. The iPod shows that it is connected to a Toyota radio. I can play up to 5 different playlist like I would with the CD's in the changer. I just click up and down to change playlist.

FlatSpot,
Did you know that if you set the #2 dip switch to 'off', then you can control all your tunes through the ipod? This gives you access to select whatever you want (incl all your playlists) as if you were listening to it via headphones. Then you can still control volume and track from your deck.

Really? I didn't know that. I just got back from Houston (1800 miles round trip) was getting upset that I couldn't find some of the songs I wanted to listen too very easily. I have about 500-1000 songs in each playlist.
Re: Need clarification about JBL system & USA Spec iPod
I located the main unit at the bottom of the dash just behind the center console pocket. I would find a different place if you want to have access to change the dip switches. I ran the cable to the center console arm rest compartment and drilled a hole to run the wire inside the center console. Works great.
