Annoying Speaker Noise - Toyota Tundra Forums : Tundra Solutions Forum

My 06 DC Tacoma all stock (7-speaker JBL system) has developed a problem with the passenger side door speaker. It sounds like an electrical clicking/whining noise that starts around 35-40mph (when it's most noticeable). The sound only happens when the accelerator is depressed. Once I lift off the accelerator it goes away. This sound is also present without the radio being on. Can anyone help me with this annoyance?

Hey JC, I have a 2006 4Runner Limited, and I seem to be experiencing the exact same problem that you have. It's really starting to annoy me, being that I just got the car late August. The sound is like a popping, clicking, staticky sound that seems to come from the passanger side, but when I really paid closer attention, seems to come from the rear as well. I'm taking the car over to Toyota tomorrow, get them to fix it. I'm gonna ask as well what the problem was, so I can report back to those members who are experiencing similiar problems.
