Default Speaker question

I'm looking to replace my speakers with something better so I called Crutchfields and talked to one of their tech's. We decided on a set of speakers and I got the today but the bass was not as good as the factory ones but the high and mid range was alot better. So heres my ?---has anybody changed out their speakers only---no new H/U or amps or anything just speakers. Factory units have a good bass sound that I'm looking for. What can anybody suggest that might give me good high, mid & bass. Thanks

if you dont want to change anything else put your stock speakers back in. They sound fine and are happy playing bass without much power. It doesnt sound like you want to spend too much money on this stuff, I have spent $2000 dollars in equipment so far and dont have much bass to speak of. If you had a budget for this project it would help with the suggestions I can make.
