I was going to do that at first, but I can put them in a box and they will have the ideal airspace (that I couldn't get under the seats) and I will be able to seal each individual sub and they will all be in equal airspace. Nobody rides in my truck except me, and sometimes my gf, so it won't matter if the subs are back there.

When Ya'll finish up, I'd love to meet up and hear it. I'm torn right now between the JL stealth box or mutiple 8's in an IB setup... If three can fit in there.. That might be the ticket.

It will be a few weeks before I can get all my stuff in. I am still waiting for everthing to get here, except for my subs. If you want to go under the seats you can not do an isobaric setup, not enough room.

I am going to build a three chambered sealed box that will sit on the floor in front of the back seat.

When I get it done you can listen to it, I will send you a PM.

Hmmm, I'm looking at doing 2 8's in the storage compartment -- Either Sealed, or IB -- but Mounting depth is really a killer tho.

The 4" Range for 8's leaves very little of a selection to be desired. RE's Fit the bill, but, they only come in D2ohm when would be 4 ohm or 1 ohm -- and of course my amp is not 1ohm stable... (yay!)

*shrug* I guess I'll keep looking...

its more about 5 inches if you move the subs closer to the wall, i have 4 assassins in and they all have about half an inch under them, and i simply cut the holes more twords the front ALSO look at JL 8w3v2s they sound great in there

You were able to fit 4 in the compartment behind the driver? or 3 driver + 1pass?

RE does make a dual 4 ohm, I have three of them waiting to be installed.

Yeah, after doing some measuing and some math -- I have decided to go with 3 ED 7kv2's -- [Elemental Designs ]

The RE's and Assassins (Which you cannot order anymore) need alot more airspace sealed, and I wasn't liking how the numbers were coming up for "My Tastes".

... Plus I always like doing something 'different' ...

However, the RE's are my backup plan. After what I read on the many audio forums -- They are hard to beat for the few 8's we have that can fit in that spot.

Those subs look nice, 400rms? They should work really well in the storage compartments. How are you going to install the subs?

Did you look at the 9kv2's as well? They would work good in the compartments as well.

Sealed. This will be key. I have a neighbor that will make me a fiberglass shell (unfinished) for 100$. But, it'll never be seen so it's a pretty decent deal. I'm looking at throwing ~700watts @ 2.66 ohms. Should sound pretty crazy considering the nubers match up perfectly for ideal sealed box size w/ three.

Actually, the 9kv2's _could possibly fit_ with a little metal persuasion -- being that they are 4.4" deep, and almost 5" magnet width. But, with only .6cf to work with, You'll end up a little light on the Small Box side with two, and Way, Way Small with three even withs ome poly...

*shrug*

I figure worst case, if they suck, I can sell them and start over -- only be out a couple of bucks... But if it sounds rad, I'll impress all the ladies... Right?

The 9kv2s will work. I spoke with a guy at elemental and he has done them in a tundra with a baffle. he told me the sound was very tight with good response. Call them and ask for yourself. At the price they want, these speakers are great.

Yup. Talked to the same guy and he told me the same thing. But unless I see something with my own eyes, I don't wanna be the one that says "Yup... They fit... "
