Tundra Solutions is looking for someone in the central valley who owns a 2007x Supercharged Tundra that we can borrow to take pictures of and use in a story. If you would like to help please send a PM to TundraSoul or send us an email. We will pay you for your gas and time to meet us at our office in Clovis. Thanks.

Dixie,
Thanks for the tips! I've actually purchased the camera, ipod, bluetooth, etc... already, so I should be good to go. I also bought a harness as well, so I don't have to splice the wires. I'm also part of avic411.com, and was planning to do the bypass as well. Thanks for the info!!!
TundraSoul,
That dash looks great!!!! I'll hold off until Tuesday, to hear if there are plans for a different kit. If it'll be a while, I'll just throw a flat black kit in for now...until the gloss black kits begin to roll out.
Take a look at the attached. Please understand this is a custom paint job. They primed the AI kit bezel, sanded, painted and then polished to a mirror finish. The good news is on Tuesday I'll know for sure if AI is ever going to produce a Tundra kit with the polished finish just like the attached images. If so I'll let you know exactly when they will be available and how much they will cost. In the meantime the install kits with the flat black finish are still available in the store and they look great.
I am talking my friend into doing this thanks for showing this Tundrasoul
That paintjob looks incredible. I would like that, but do not have the painting skills. I love the AI kit, it was very good quality and the fit is amazing. If they make a gloss finish, count me in for sure.
So...TundraSoul...let's say they don't come out with a glossy black finish. What would you charge for all of us to send you our dash kits to have them painted?

I have no interest in painting them besides it wouldn't be affordable at all. Frankly with a little bit of painting skill you could probably do it yourself. You need some primer, black paint, clear paint. a finishing sander and some fine sand paper for it. You probably already have some paint polish and with a little work you could re-finish it. If you don't want to do it yourself I recommend you ask a body shop to paint it for you.

Now that cracked me up I have ZERO, zilch, nada, no painting skills. You guys did a great job painting it! Hopefully one will come out, so I don't have to resort to my 3rd grade painting skills. If not...it's off to the body painter
Jlauma,
I don't see any pix in your post, no are they in your gallery. Can you upload them??

Dam dude where is your talent i know you have that in you I just did my tile work in the bathroom and it came out pretty good for a first timer. Of coarse I did have some training at the store but wasn't to hard to learn. The easy part on this project is protecting and sealing the tile so painting shouldn't be too hard esp on this Benzel.
Looks great, Erik! Hopefully that wooden chair covering your drain hole isn't your toilet I'm good with powertools, but am not too artsy with a paint brush. It'd cost me more from screwing up so many kits, than if I were to just pay someone to do it right...

TundraSoul,
Any word from AI if they plan to make the kit in gloss black?
I bought a Limited Crewmax without the Nav unit. I am thinking about installing the Alpine W205 just for backup camera/DVD capabilities. My question is: do they make a Unit that can capitalize on the Steering Wheel buttons/capabilities already on my Tundra? Or will those basically become useless with any unit that I install?
