I'm going to being duing this install next weekend, so I'll try to see how pioneers setup is designed to work. It all depends if Toyota uses a digital convertor in the circuit board after the connector or before and how the signal is seen by the pioneer head unit. It might not be a simple job, but I'm willing to find out. I use to install for 4 years before I started duing mechanic work for the last 5 years. I have some good friends that still install and could inform me on anything they've heard of with this issue. It would be nice to use the factory camara with the pioneer, but it's not that important since I still have the factory overhead monitor.

You can split the signal and send it to your Pioneer, just drop an RCA cable down and splice it to your existing output in the overhead. You need the factory unit since it supplys 6v to the camera. The wiring diagrams can be found here with a simple search.
