Default JBL Stereo Oddities

I've been getting a little more into playing with my new sound system, programming the bluetooth, all that sort of stuff. I've noticed a few behaviorial things about it that might be "just the way it works", or might be "pilot error".

I was wondering if there was any more detailed information on this unit than that provided by the owner's manual? A dealer PDF or something on the manufacturer's site. I can't find anything.

The latest thing that came up was regarding random play. If you press the "rand" button on the unit, it will only randomize the current CD. A little digging revealed that if you hold this button down until it "beeps", you will get random over all the loaded CD's (and an extra little symbol on the display... Great!

So, I loaded up some CD-Rs with MP3's, figuring that 6 of these would provide me with my own jukebox (100-200 songs per CD). Well, in this case, it only random plays on one disc, even with the "all discs" symbol in the display.

I put a few "regular" music CDs in, and the "all disc random" worked fine.

I thought there might be some sort of sequence of events I could follow to make this work properly with the MP3 discs. Or at least find out what is supposed to work and what isn't.

Any thoughts or sources of information?

random all probablyy treats each folder on the data disc as if it were a disc. So it will shuffle btween folders on the disc. just a thought
