'05 Avalon Nav Route Guidance Failure

I installed the Nav update DVD (v. 6.1) in my wife's '05 Avalon. Maps work fine, but the route guidance system quit working after the new DVD installed. I've entered the Nav systems menus, but found nothing that reboots or troubleshoots the route guidance system.

Does anyone know how to troubleshoot the route guidance system or otherwise get this system running again?
