Default 2003 Avalon Stalling

Hi,
I have a 2003 Avalon with 45k miles on it. This engine in this car has an intermittent problem in that it just stalls for no reason while idling or driving at low speed and light load (around 2000RPM, 30MPH). This problem can happen 10 times in a day and then not happen at all for weeks. Seems to happen more often on hot days. I notice the RPM meter going up and down a few times and then it dies. No codes register in the computer. The car restarts immediately. The dealer will not work on it because he can't see it happening in his shop. So what can cause an engine to die without any codes?

have your shop check the mass air flow sensor . check for contamination or oil leaking internally . If you replace it you need to unhook the battery and drive for 4-5 miles to realearn itself
