Default Nav Console Faceplate Separating on '06 Avalon

The faceplate on the navigation control console is separating from the top plate. It appears as if it got pulled on a little too hard at one point. Anyone out there know how to access that faceplate so I can check for any obstruction?

Thanks

I had a similar issue with mine. Access is not easy, but I documented it for the benefit of others. Look at the referenced PDF file to see if you are comfortable with attempting this yourself, or if you prefer your dealer perform the fix.

Dear Inov8,

Your instructions were perfect. When I finally got down to the faceplate, there was a plastic substructure that had molded concave instead of convex. This created outward pressure on the faceplate. I just moved the piece so it wouldn't push and Wallah!

Thanks again,

Phil
