06 Avalon wiper blades

Has anyone found wiper replacements at a decent price? I refuse to give Toyota $40 for the driver's side blade.

Look at on line Toyota parts sites. I got the drivers side blade for around $22 and the passengers for around $18. Not cheap but they do last. Be sure the price on the site is for the blade only, some sites mistakenly include the arm with the blade which lists for $40+.

Cheapest mailorder I found was bob bridge toyota. My local stealership sells them for over MSRP, as compared to bob bridge. That just adds insult to injury...

I have a 2007 Avalon. Can just the rubber be changed or is it imbedded into the housing? Thanks, Joe

Not sure about 07s, but I doubt their situation is any better than the 06s.

I have posted here about the very poor quality of the blades on my 06 Avalon. They were bad from day one.

Dealer parts people have shown me on the screen that the entire assembly is required. About $60-$70 in my area.

I have yet to find an after-market replacement, so I may end up buying from one of the online sellers.

Pretty sad that Toyota can't make a decent set of wiper blades, but overall, I'm not impressed with the build qulaity in this vehicle.

The older Asian cars I bought in the 80s were of much higher build quality. Didn't have all of the gadgetry, but what good is that if the basic quality has gone south?

I read on the WEB the other day that Buick is now tied with Lexus for 1st place in overall customer satisfaction as per the J. D. Powers survey. Cadillac and Mercury were right behind that with Honda in 5th place and Toyota in 6th place.

The sun has set on the "Risng Sun" as far as I'm concerned.

I know this file shows no insert for your 06 but that's probably due to when website posted chart. I promise you they make inserts which are a LOT cheaper than buying blades.http://www.toyotaownersonline.com/pu...inserts06.pdf:) just call any parts department and ask for replacement inserts for your year model and they will hook you up!! i just do my blades 2 times a year so i just buy the whole thing. Sun and cold ruin them here in NM and OEM blades i feel are better than aftermarkets!!

I've been to 2 different Toyota dealers. Both said there were no inserts avail. for the '06 Avalon.

Yep i called dealer and he said no inserts available and will not be available, gotta purchase complete blade, drivers blade 32.87 and passengers blade 16.59. i would find i think it's sparks Toyota that gives a discount of i think 25 % to TS Memebers??
