Suggestions on Repairing RH Mirror-2000 Avalon

I have a 2000 Avalon XLS with Heated Mirrors and a right hand mirror that is broken. The glass is broken, the mirror works, the heater works but it's like looking through a mosaic glass mirror. Just the glass portion is cracked. I thought that I could just get the glass portion and glue it on but, they're saying that I need to replace the whole mirror. Plus, I would have to have it painted to match the car.

Anyone have this issue? Does anyone just supply the glass part for replacement?
