Default How comfortable are your Avalon Seats!

Curious to see if anyone has this issue.

I have an 05 limited w/vented seats. There is a cross stitching that is threaded across the back of the seat, right around the lower portion of my back!

I would like to switch out the seats to something more comfortable for long trips.

Has anyone had any experience with changing them out? I would like to keep the vented/power options in the replacement.

Default Re: How comfortable are your Avalon Seats!

I find the driver's seat in my 07 touring quite uncomfortable too. No ventilation with mine, but it's impossible to find a comfortable seating position. I'm 6'3" and could use an inch or two more horizontal seat travel and an inch more drop for the front of the cushion. I'll drive 400 miles or more in a stretch and, although the car eats up the miles, my back and hip can't make it half that far. I came to Avalon from an Audi A6 and the seats in that car were super comfortable and highly adjustable.

To make matters worse, there's a crease in the padding or something under the cushion that is like sitting on a piece of rope. I have taken the geezer approach and added a $50Gelco seat cushion to solve both problems. It's an improvement, but I would expect not to have to make the effort.
