Default p0773 code

Hi,
I have a 2002 Avalon XL with the check engine light on. I had the code checked at auto zone, and the said it was p0773 which is shift solenoid E. I looked it up in the repair manual and it goes through the diagnostics for it, which is to check it with an ohm meter.

Has anyone ever had one of these go bad, and does anyone know how difficult it is to replace? I have dropped transmisson pans before for fluid and filter changes. Is it more difficult than that?

Thanks
