AvalonGeneral discussion forum for the Toyota Avalon.
This is a discussion thread titled "2000 Avalon transmission leak", within the Avalon forum, part of the Cars & Vans Forums category.
I have a 2000 avalon w/ 95,000 miles. I last had the trans fluid changed at 90,000 miles. Mechanic used the machine not the old drop pan deal that I used for 40 years. Anyone have any experience with a transmission leak? It seems to be coming from higher in the engine in back of the belt drives. I haven't had a Toyota leak anything in 30 years so I have no experience with it. Thank you for your help.
Rob
Are you sure it's not power steering fluid? It uses the same trans fluid.
All the trans fluid would be on the drivers side of the engine. There is a pressure vent that will release fluid if it is severly overfilled.
