I took my 07 Avalon XL to the dealer due to a low battery charge. They told me the draw was because I had left the park lights on and everything else looked OK . I looked at the manual when I got home and it appears that the park lights (Position 1) will automatically turn off when the driver's door is open with the engine off. Am I reading that correctly?

On our 05' Touring model all lights turn off with the key out of the ignition and the door is opened. The exception is if you have the light switch to auto. They switch off after about two minutes in this situation.
