Using 0-20 oil in a 2000 Avalon
My 2000 Avalon owner's manual says to use 5-30 oil in the engine.
I emailed Toyota Canada headquarters asking them if I could use a 0-20 synthetic oil in my Avalon. They wrote back stating that I could use 0-20 as long as it is 100% synthetic oil. They also stated in using this oil I may improve gas mileage and increase engine longevity.
So I am now using Amsoil 100% synthetic 0-20 oil in my Avalon. And I must say the engine runs silky smooth.
Just thought you might want that info in case you have an Avalon next to your '07 or '08 Tundra.
