Default Tire pressure warning system light o

The idiot light on my wife's 2008 Avalon came on last week, so naturally we checked her tire pressure. I filled them up to 35# (yes, after I did that, I read in the user manual that for <99 mph, and 16" tires, they only need 28#!). The light is still on.
She did have the car serviced, and maybe they rotated the tires. I started reading something about how to set/reset the warning system, but I was too tired for it to make sense to me.
Any suggestions?

Default Re: Tire pressure warning system light o

You've done most of the diagnostic.

Check the pressure on the spare. If it doesn't go off, you may need to reset the warning light. This could be due to a tire rotation, the service include that? There should be a button or switch on or under your dash for the reset. If you can't find it, the battery neg(-) cable is also a switch, remove it for 5 seconds, and that will reset the warning light.

The procedure may be different from car to car, but that's the basics of it.
