2004 Avalon Radio not working
I wish I would have found this forum sooner. Recently, the sound on my JBL Stereo system when silent. The system had power, and I could load and eject CD's, but no sound. On a couple of occasions, there was a loud popping noise, and the volume resumed, but now, dead silence.
I should have done more research before taking my car into my local Toyota dealership, but they did a diagnostic and said it was an internal problem. Question: Does my sound system have an internal amplifier?
They quoted a price of $350 to send the system off to a company called United to be repaired and then reinstalled at the dealership.
Any insights/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
