Default New to the Avalon Family!!

Well we dove in, and picked up an '04 Avalon XLS from Price Leblanc Toyota in Baton Rouge. It is light green (what color is that anyway?), with light tan interior with wood trim.

They gave us a great trade-in on the '95 Camry that had 125K miles on it and we just couldn't resist.

You know, from the outisde, I was never impressed (well, I'm still not) with the looks of the car, but DAG GUMMIT it is nice inside. QUIET is not the way to describe it...more like inside a vault with earplugs and eerily dead silent. That's very nice. The ride is smooth, even compared to the Tundra; acceleration is smooth and strong; and the handling is very impressive to boot.

My ONLY beef is the noise level associated with the air rushing out of the A/C vents. It is higher than my truck or the Camry, but hey, if that's my biggest problem with the car

Lemme hear from some of the other Avalon owners around here:
Any problems to look out for or TSB's to get done?

Congrats on the new ride!! I was always really impressed with the Avalon, but I've always been a truck guy at heart so never went that route. The one thing that always impressed me was the room in the back seat! It's actually more comfortable than the front!

Default Love my Avalon

Gotta agree with you on all counts the Avalon is a very well laid out vehichle. We purchased a 2003 Avalon. The ride is as you say very smooth. It is the foremost feature that sold us on the Avalon. We were originally shopping for a Camry but one test ride in an Avalon sold us. Everything else is first class with the Avalon. Our family especially likes the room in the back seat.

Our Avalon just turned over the 36,000 mile mark. Our only warranty claim in that time was a battery replacement for a leaking battery. It has been trouble free otherwise.

We love our Avalon. Good luck with yours.
