Hi from Springfield MO. We currently have a 01 Tacoma but are waiting on an 06 Avalon Ltd. which should be in next week. We rented an XLS last April from the Toyota dealer here. We drove to New Orleans and back and loved the car. Unfortunately, I get to keep the truck and my wife gets the Av. What a world. We'll let you know how the delivery experience goes.

Welcome, you'll be pleased. 5 months and 3k miles on mine, no problems at all. I hope your delivery and follow-up are as good as I experienced.

You're definitely going to enjoy it. After my wife got tired of me using her 2002 Avalon XLS, I purchased a 06 Avalon Limited w/NAV and all other options 2 weeks ago. It rides like my wife's car and my only complaint is it took several days of 45 minute daily commutes to work before I got the seat adjusted "just right".

I like the NAV system and the voice activated commands - its quite a toy but its not a serious contendor to Garmon and other GPS on their ease of use. There is definitely a learning curve to using it, but being a computer geek, it didn't take long.

Smart key - cant say enough about it... the first time I walked up to my locked car at night with the transponder in my pocket, the light under the side mirror came on, interior lights came on and with a touch of the handle it unlock, I was 100% hooked.

Ive read about other people's experiences with squeeks and rattles but havent run into any of this on this car. I've driven 2000 miles on it with 28mpg combined city/highway driving using premium gas. Never had any squeeks and rattles on my wife's 2002 Avalon either (70k miles) ... only problem on her car ever was a broken passenger a/c vent repaired under warantee.

Be sure to share your inital thoughts when you pick it up!
