Default DLC1 location 2000 Avalon XLS

My 2000 Avalon XLS has the VSC VSCOFF lites on since the battery went dead. Dealer states that this is due to the steerang angle sensor failure, which is $700+ Labor. Would like to reset the sensor as described in the tech bulletin first. I have downloaded the steering angle sensor cal procedure but DLC1 plug does not resemble that in my vehicle under the steering wheel, which I presume is the same connector as the OBDII connector. pdf download shows the pins to short out, but need to know correct location of the DLC1 if it is not the OBDII connector.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

thanks
