Bassani cat-back exhaust

Years ago while browsing through ebay I found an auction for a Bassani exhaust. This was one of their systems that replacess the factory Y-pipe and has a dual inlet/outlet muffler. Another bonus,the seller had both split-side and split-rear tailpipe assemblies. The price was too good to pass up

Fast-forward to the present. Last Saturday I finally installed my JBA headers,today I decided to bring the exhaust with me to work. As soon as 4:30 PM came I put the Tundra on my lift and...

JBA headers installation notes

Soak everything with penetrant,even the exhaust hangers. I unbolted the exhaust from the Y-pipe,unbolted the cats from the manifolds,then slid the cats/Y pipe assembly back.

I unbolted the motor mounts to lift up the engine. This makes access to all manifold nuts easy and makes it easier to remove the old manifolds and install the headers.

Unbolt the dipstick tube bolt,shifter cable bracket,and wiring harness heat shield. All are located on the driver side.

In about 6 hours I begin the task of replacing my leaking exhaust manifolds and bad O2 sensors. Luckily I'll be doing it at work,on a lift.

I bought JBA headers several years ago through a TS group buy,was just too lazy to install them One of the manifolds started to leak this year along with a MIL for O2 sensors,it's time to put the headers on.

I'm not too impressed with the quality of the headers. The welding is sloppy. I ran a tap to clean the O2 sensor bungs due...
