Tire pressure sensor

Posted 05-31-2009 at 08:41 AM by CGGuy
Got an 05 SR5 Double Cab Tundra the other day and is an awsome truck. Most impressed so far with gas mileage. Drove about 180 miles, refilled, and averaged around 20mpg. EPA 14/17 which was what I for with my 98 z71. One problem though. Tire pressure light has started flashing. Have read a few posts on this. Is this a very common issue with the Tundra? Thx!

MPG Numbers 5-29-2009

Posted 05-29-2009 at 10:01 PM by Highwaylizard
Updated 05-29-2009 at 11:15 PM by Highwaylizard
Filled up today:
  • City driving with trailer for half the miles
  • 218.2 miles
  • 15.870 gallons Shell87
  • 14.1420 MPG
  • .0622 increase in MPG since last of city driving with trailer for part of the distance driven

These are the first miles on the truck since having the stock 4:10 gears replaced with 3:91 gears. I had expected the city mileage to suffer a bit from the change over and I knew the fuel economy pulling the trailer would take a hit as well. Overall I am neither...
