MPG Numbers 6-01-2009

Filled up today:
  • 210.6 miles all highway driving
  • Cruise control set at 75 MPH
  • 11.559 gallons Shell87
  • 18.2196 MPG
  • 1.3341 increase in MPG since last of highway driving


I am quite pleased with these numbers and I really think the golden 20 MPG figure is attainable at this point. I recently changed out my 4:10 gears for a set of 3:91 gears which has made a significant difference in my fuel economy. This was not exactly by choice but rather, as a result...

General Observations 5-31-2009

Well here it is the end of another month and it has been a month full of mechanical failures, bonehead decisions, and expensive repairs.

The numbers for the month are as follows:
  • Total driven miles 2,247.9
  • Total gallons of fuel consumed 150.758
Breaking those numbers down I find that:

Mixed Driving:
  • 1203.9 total miles of mixed driving for the month
  • 79.672 total gallons of fuel burned in mixed driving burned
  • 15.1107 average MPG in mixed driving

MPG Numbers 5-30-2009

Filled up today:
  • First 20 miles were city driving – the remainder are highway
  • 210.6 miles
  • 13.096 gallons Shell87
  • 16.0812 MPG.0147 decrease in MPG since last of city driving with trailer for part of the distance driven

These miles were generated on a highway run from Indianapolis to Battle Creek, Michigan. The first 20 miles were generated in town running last minute errands to the bank, two grocery stores, and the gas station to clean my windshield. The entire highway...

Total Chaos UCA's

Was wondering if anyone has put on the the Total Chaos UCA's for an 08 tundra. I am about to purchase some sway a way coilovers and sway a way rear shocks. Cant decide between the camburg or total chaos UCA's. Hear the chaos arms a a little better. Any info would be great.
