Tundra question

Posted 07-24-2009 at 10:28 PM by ScottDunton
I have a 2006 4 door Tundra. I just passed the 40,000 mile mark and The service required light has come on. Was it just bad timing and that light was going to come on no matter what mile or is it a timed thing that the light goes off because I hit the 40k mark. If anyone knows I would really appreciate any info. On if it is an automatic thing on these trucks when you pass 40k and or How to turn that thing off without going to the dealer?
Thanks to all.
I appreciate you help

Am I crazy?

Posted 07-23-2009 at 06:40 PM by dano55
I joined this forum to get real time advise on a decision I need to make. I'm looking at purchasing a one owner 01 SR5 Tundra V8 acc cab from a Ca. owner. Truck has 118,000 miles on it and has been properly maintained with no apparent problems. I plan on driving cross country from LA to Orlando to live. Am I nuts for feeling like this would be an OK truck to do this in and what should I be looking for? I could drive other lower mileage trucks / vans but this particular one is extremely clean and...

air bags

I just purchased a camper and have started looking at air bags for the rear suspension. What are the best bets for these products? Same question about shocks?

Wheel Bearings

Posted 07-23-2009 at 12:55 PM by kf4qvi
I am planning on a 4 wheel brake job at around 150K miles and will be changing front wheel bearing then. My question, What about rear wheel bearings? What sort of milage should I expect from them?
I do tow 1-2 times a month.
Thanks
